Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account or an app to use campground WiFi?
No. Scan the QR code with your phone camera, choose a plan, and pay. That's it.
Why Starlink satellite WiFi instead of cell service?
Cellular signals in heavily forested, mountainous, or remote campgrounds are frequently congested or non-existent. Starlink provides direct satellite broadband with high speeds and low latency, giving you reliable internet right at your site.
How fast is the campground WiFi?
Plans run from 10 Mbps (3-Hour Pass and Day Pass Plus) to 15 Mbps (Weekend Basic) and 25 Mbps (Weekend Pro). Those are plan maximums. Real-world speeds can vary with weather and overall network load.
How many devices can I connect?
The 3-Hour Pass and Day Pass Plus cover 1 device. Weekend Basic and Weekend Pro cover 2 devices.
What is the difference between WiFiCamper and CamperFi?
WiFiCamper provides pay-as-you-go Starlink WiFi passes at participating campgrounds with zero commitment. CamperFi is our sister mobile service brand offering prepaid monthly cellular plans (eSIM or SIM) for nationwide 5G coverage on the road.
Can I stream and join video calls?
Yes. Day Pass Plus and the weekend plans are designed for video calls and streaming. The 3-Hour Pass is best for email, messaging and browsing.
What happens when my WiFi pass runs out?
Scan the QR code again and choose a new plan. If you're staying a while, ask us about long-stay options.
Is it secure?
Your connection runs through dedicated Starlink equipment at the campground rather than an open public hotspot. As on any shared network, we recommend using HTTPS sites and a VPN for sensitive activity.
